Taj Lake Palace is a luxury hotel located on the island of Jag Niwas in Lake Pichola, Udaipur, India. It was built between 1743 and 1746 by the royal dynasty of Mewar as a summer palace, and later converted to a hotel in the 1960s. The marble structure appears to float magically on the surface of the lake, offering gorgeous 360-degree views of the surrounding area.
The logo and patterns that appear throughout the branding are influenced by intricate architectural elements of the palace exteriors. I wanted to create an elegant and refined visual language that holds up to the palace’s history. The warmth and richness of Indian culture is celebrated through color and tone, inviting people to be curious about this incredible destination.
