Disposable Culture is a 12 piece body of work exposing the harsh realities of fast fashion and bringing awareness to the hidden environmental costs of our clothing. It encourages individuals to practice clothing consciousness and mindful consumerism. The visuals are inspired by the grittiness of grunge design, with layered textures, high contrast photo elements and a limited color palette. Through infographics, collages and posters, Disposable Culture invites viewers to question everything and mend a better future.
The exhibition was held at Karpeles Manuscript Library from December 9th-December 14, 2021.
